Meet Joan... Founder, Maker & Professional Tea Drinker..

Joan & Co. began after I developed a completely reasonable obsession with fabric, interiors, and the deeply held belief that the "big light" is responsible for at least 73% of Britain's problems. What started as making a few lampshades at home quickly escalated into a full collection of handcrafted statement pieces, accompanied by towering fabric piles, endless cups of tea, and occasional dramatic discussions with the sewing machine.

With a background in creative arts and a love of colour, pattern and beautifully eccentric interiors, I create lampshades designed to bring personality into a room - the sort of pieces that make visitors say "Ooh, where's that from?" before pretending they weren't staring at your lighting. Everysahde is handmade in Britain in small batches, using carefully chosen fabrics and entirely unreasonable levels of care.
