A Creative Space at Haarlem Mill

Enna Aarts, A Creative Space at Haarlem Mill

Tucked away on the second floor of the historic Haarlem Mill in Wirksworth, Derbyshire, the Enna Arts studio is where the magic happens quietly, slowly and with intention.

The space itself is light-filled and peaceful, with tall windows that frame the surrounding hills and let in the soft, shifting light that’s so vital to the cyanotype process. Here, surrounded by the textures of old beams and stone, Anne creates her signature pieces, blue-toned botanical prints, stitched textiles and handmade designs that echo nature and memory.

The studio isn’t just a place of making, it’s a place of gathering and sharing, too. With space for just a handful of guests at a time, Anne hosts small group workshops and one-to-one sessions that offer a rare chance to slow down, get hands-on and reconnect with creativity.

There’s something quietly special about Haarlem Mill itself, a building with roots in the past, now filled with makers, thinkers and artists. It’s the perfect home for Enna Arts: full of character, calm and inspiration.
